Leaving aside the safety issue, I turned my PFD upside-down and shook it. The census of inhabitants: compass, whistle, knife, lip balm, mirror, flares, strobe, camera, binoculars, energy bar, bandana, sunglasses, hat. Transient residents: VHF and GPS. Yes, I have a day hatch and a foredeck, but where else is so convenient? Memo to self: check to see if the thing still actually floats...
