Yes, The idea of a paddling exchange "network" is a great idea. I thought more about it after Maligiaq stayed with me for a week to go out paddling on high lakes at 9000ft while training for the Montreal race. I don't know how much it helped him, but it sure worked me! Perhaps the exchange listing could include not only local paddling area, but other areas that one knows well/visits often? (I've spent a lot of time in winter, paddling in Baja.)
