I started wondering about this. How many kayakers are out there? I keep hearing that this is one of the fastest growing sports in NA, but haven't seen any numbers. Does anyone know of a source of info of, say, sales volumes by type of kayak (recreational, touring (plastic vs composite)) etc? I took a quick look at the TAPS website, but found nothing.
