I just did a conservative estimate, and came up with over 8000 miles
so far.

Without touching land for ten consecutive days? I'm not *that* crazy!
:-) However - if you're just counting consecutive "day trips" on the
sea (including open sea along the coast, bays, and island hopping),
with comfortable land breaks at home every night, I'd have to say that
ten consecutive days is a drop in the bucket! I also sometimes paddle
on local coastal rivers and on some lakes, but you only asked about
sea paddling.

I live by the sea, and months can go by and I can't remember a day
that I wasn't on the water. I do miss some days, but missing a day of
paddling is not usually on my intentional agenda. If I'm not on the
water for five or more days in a row, it means I must be sick,
injured, or the Winter storm conditions are just to dangerous for solo
paddling (I enjoy some crazy water, but I'm no Doug Lloyd!). Those dry
stretches do happen, but thankfully, not very often.

Some people feel compelled to work; I feel compelled to paddle! :-)
