If you believe you are, then you are - might be as good a way as any of defining a paddler. Interesting though to see the numbers quoted and to actually think about what the numbers mean and how wildy inaccurate they can become. We post to nearly 200 "members" just in Christchurch, population about 300,000. How many are regular and how many have bought a kayak and "think" they are kayakers is a question. We regularly run free instruction weekends, 30-40 attend though a proportion of those are "instructors".
