I have a Garmin eMap and use it inside an AquaPac waterproof bag. I've never found excess heat to be a problem while kayaking but have noticed a darkened LCD display a couple times from leaving the unit on the dash of the car on a hot day. If it ever did overheat while kayaking it would be easy enough to either shade the unit or cool the bag exterior with water. Jim wrote: > I use a Garmin GPS76S.
