I'm looking at a used VCP Anas Acuta today, and I was trying to do some
research beforehand. I've seen a lot of writing by people who love the
boat; anybody who hates it?

I'm also 6'-0" with size-12 feet, and I'm a little worried about fit. Any
similiar-sized person have experience with the boat?

I'm 5'11" and size 12/13 feet. I didn't like the Anas Acuta _only_
because it was a snug fit - for my feet. The deck is quite low forward
and there's not much room for feet. I couldn't get the footpegs right
(in honesty, there is probably potential if I could have readjusted them
fully - they were clogged with sand and not moving much). It isn't just
the deck height - the kayak is relatively narrow there as well, so the
feet are squeezed with the toes to the deck and heels touching. I felt
that moving the footpegs any further forward would have me standing on
my toes on the pegs rather than having then at a comfortable angle -
unfortunately, I didn't get to try this. My WW kayak is like that and
it bugs me, so I wasn't optimistic.

I decided at the time I preferred the slightly bigger Pintail (lovely
kayak, that one).

My recommendation - try it and see how you fit. If your legs are shorter
than mine (32 inseam) you might be comfortable. As well, you might not
object to a more toe-forward foot position. I know there are bigger
guys (and gals) than me that love the Anas Acuta, though they probably
have size 10-11 feet! Personal preference is more important than
physical dimensions.

Mike

I am 5'8", #150 and I love the Anas Acuta. It seems to fit me like a
glove. A friend of mine owns one and is about your size (not sure about the
size of his feet) and he just squeezes into it. When he's paddling it it
almost looks like it doesn't have enough volume for him. The rear deck is
often awash and I can't imagine what it would look like if he paddled it
fully loaded. Like someone else mentioned it's a low volume boat and
doesn't have a lot of foot room (though not as bad as a Betsie Bay
Valkerie). Make sure that you spend plenty of time in it when you demo the
boat and you might bring along a few bags of water to load into the hatches
to see how it behaves when loaded.
