I just got my copy of the Sierra Trading Post catalog and was startled to see a big splash ad for Pouch folding single and double kayaks. A few years back Sevylor was importing the boats from Germany and after awhile decided to drop this business. They had a fairly large inventory. Individual dealers who had any in stock sold them at deep discount. My guess is that Sevylor put this stock of folding kayaks into the surplus market where Sierra Trading Post picked it up cheaply. The single is not like the models currently being produced by Pouch and sold through Ralph Hoehn here in the US (the newer models are a big improvement in several respects). I think that the double also has gone through some change as well but not as much as the singles.
