I agree with everyone about the Thermarest LE, especially in the 24 inch
width (the 20 inch version is just a little narrow for my taste).  One nice
thing is they bore holes thru the pad every 2 or 3 inches, which doesn't
seem to affect the "cushyness" of it, but helps it roll up more compact.
Also, you may want to consider making a drybag for it by using that coated
material from Seattle fabric that you iron to seal (already discussed a
while back, so I won't go into more detail -- email me if needed) so you
can carry it on top of your boat, if needed.  (Otherwise, they take up a
lot of cargo space).

Regarding lanterns, there are a lot of LED lights showing up which seem to
be much more efficient (ie the bulbs last practically forever and last much
longer on a set of batteries) and perfect for a tent light.  I don't much
care for candle lanterns in the tent -- due more to the bulkiness and the
smell when you blow it out than the fire hazard or anything.
