My two cents:

Seems like Scherrer was skirting the bounds of list policy while providing a
valuable service to a list member. The list member expressed a need to find a
hatch cover ASAP. Steve may have made a few bucks, but invested some time in
the process.

I'd say, let's not hard-time Scherrer, and let's use the back channel in the
future. The list owner should chime in here somewhere.

Steve and I disagree about some things, but I have always found him to be an
up-front, honest guy with his agenda clearly on the table. His business is
perhaps the best one of its type in Oregon (unsolicited testimonial -- to find
out what Steve's business is, you'll have to email him: <aldercreek_at_qwest.net>
I don't want to be accused of commercial use of the list).

I agree with John that if the list becomes inundated with "responses" from
dealers to inquiries that its value will be diminished ... to the Steve
Scherrer's as well as the rest of us.

My mistake for forwarding the two messages earlier today, I should have
left the thread dead... This is my response that went out yesterday to the
first 3 involved in the thread.
