I remember about 3 years ago getting off the ferry from Bar Harbor, ME at Yarmouth, NS, and being asked by a Canadian customs agent if I had the sales receipt for my kayak. I said "yes", and then asked if it was a problem. The response I got was that he noticed the maple leaf on the Current Designs logo, and deduced that it was a Canadian built boat. He said that he didn't care so much, but that the US Customs might accuse me of buying it in Canada upon my return (Which didn't happen -- they were more interested in the beer we had).
