dear barry, we have a carolina and an america (wider than the captiva). we use yakima's yak stackers, have used them for 2 yrs., and are very happy with them. the boats are loaded on their sides. we bungee or strap them fore and aft and strap or rope them to the towers and thru the stackers. there's even room for one or two more boats next to ours (and i've seen folks last weekend after boat demo days carrying 4) but i wouldn't want to try it- - - would probably reduce my mpg by a good 8 - - 10mpg. kcd *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
