Sorry,

I should have proofed my previous message instead of just hitting the spell
check. The light I am referring to is if fact omni-directional or multi
directional. For those of us who are directionally challenged; i.e. we
don't know where we are and take direction really badly, it can be seen
from all directions - assuming that it's higher then your head.

To answer some of the queries about the make.

The light is manufactured by PrincetonTec and is called an eco flare. It's
waterproof to 1000 feet. (Can divers dive that deep?) The white light will
last up to 5 hours and the flashing red up to 50 hours. Power comes from
two AAA batteries. I paid $23 Canadian or about $25 Australian. That's
about $1.25 in real money (US). This was a spur of the moment purchase
consequently I do not know the lights visibility range.

You can likely see it at www.princetontec.com

As usual I have no affiliation with this company or any other kayaking
company. Although I often share my opinions here, if you want you can buy
them. Contact me back channel for details. ;-)
