The Third Annual Paddlesport Skills Symposium will be presented by Atlantic Kayak Tours on July 27 - 28, 2002, on the Hudson River at Peekskill, NY. This instructional program will be open to just 50 participants who will be taught by eight top level BCU coaches from the U.S. and U.K. Each of these coaches will be assisted by paddlers who are themselves experienced instructors. Although the format of the previous Skills Symposiums was very successful, we have developed a new design that will allow the coaches more flexibility to give each student what they need. All sessions will be on-water, and all will run for a full two hours. There will be three sessions each day: Twelve hours of advanced coaching from some of the world's best! We will cap off Saturday with an hour of Kayak Polo (open to everyone), on what we believe is the only regulation court in the area. Then we'll close the day with dinner and a slide show. During the pre- and post symposium weeks, these same coaches will offer BCU courses.
