If the person is short-waisted (less-than-average from top of shoulders to bottom of butt), then a lower-angle style may be mandated to clear the deck of the yak. 210 cm is short for most paddlers (I'm 5-9 and use a 220 cm currently but without wrist problems I'd use a 240 cm), but you know the other person better than we do.
