What I was wondering was if the boats are in fact as faded as they appear or could some of the faded look be simply due to salt and other deposits which would go away after a good scrub? Leaving a much cleaner and brighter looking deck - faded some what as one would expect. I have about a ten year old klepper with a blue deck, the previous owner stated it had spent most of its life in Arizona with some trips into Mexico. Both places where I would expect allot of sun fading. The deck is faded a bit as would be expected but not nearly as faded as the red decked boats in the photos. So I suspect they are simply in need of a good cleaning to reveal the actual state of the coloring. But then again I am frequently wrong about things . :-( David *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
