I'll be do day trips in the southern NC coastal area from 27 July through 9 August. Basically, the area between the South-North Carolina border (Little River Inlet) to about half way to Wilmington (e.g. Lockwoods Folly Inlet). The area includes several inlets (from S to N: Little River, Mad, Tubbs, Shallotte & Lockwoods Folly), Four barrier islands (from S to N: Bird - uninhabited, Sunset, Ocean Isle & Holden), associated estuaries & rivers (Calabash & Shallotte) and the intercoastal waterway. I have the 1:40,000 nautical chart, 1:24,000 topo and air photos for the area. I'm open to trips along both the Atlantic side and the back side of these islands. Let me know when & where you are interested in paddling & we'll work out the details.
