I'll be visiting in western Iowa for several weeks. I've been thinking about taking my strip-built kayak for use on Blue Lake in Lewis and Clark State Park. However, the kayak has no registration numbers since my home state of Virginia doesn't require them. I seem to recall from a discussion earlier this year that Iowa requires registration. Does anyone know if I will have problems using an unregistered boat in a state park? Does anyone have any experience kayaking on Blue Lake, or the nearby Missouri, Little Sioux or Maple rivers?
