Anyone find a bow rudder a useful stroke? And how do you do a good one? I use a sweep and Duffek [aka bow rudder] all the time, even in my sea kayaks. In whitewater instruction, there is no stroke called Duffek without a preceding stroke called "a sweep" on the opposite side as the Duffek. Very effective when the boat is edged and when the legs are pulled hard into the direction of the Duffek.
