Try the Lotus PFDs made for women. Seriously. A lot of big guys find 
they're a good fit.

Depends on your physique- like your percentage of body fat. Fat is 
lighter than water; most of the body is as dense or more dense than 
water.  The more fat, the less flotation needed. I am told that 
generally 16lbs of flotation is enough for any adult.
