Tip: put duct tape all around the closure and don't open it until you have to. We use the ice packs that you fill with water and freeze - and then have cold water to drink. This avoids the melting ice issue, but ice does keep for a long time. I also have the smaller one (can't find #quarts on it) and it is wonderful. It's slightly taller and holds a champagne bottle upright (!).
