Hello Everyone!
My name is Kenny Sturgeon, I am an outfitter in Sebring, Florida. I am an
ACA Intro to Kayaking instructor. Anyway, my question is: I have gotten a
couple of calls from paraplegics who would like to paddle with us. I would
really like to accomodate them,so if anyone has advice or knows of an expert
who could help me manage the learning curve it would be a great thing!

Since you're already ACA certified, you can get a disabled paddler's
endorsement to it... ACA has had such a program for year; check out their
website. There is also a book by Laurie Gullion available through them on the
subject. Lots of good ideas.

Wilderness Inquiry specializes in taking paraplegics and other handicapped
persons on outdoors trips, including kayaking trips. I once ran into one of
their kayaking trips in the Apostle Islands, and it looked like everyone
was having a blast. I'm sure they would be able to help you. Their Web site
is at http://www.wildernessinquiry.org/.
