Can't comment on those two, but I have a Standard HX260S that I like a lot. It's advertised as submersible, which is hit or miss depending on who you talk to and what experiences they've had. However, mine was recently (week and a half ago) underwater for about 1/2 hour without the benefit of being in a pouch. Worked like a champ when I turned it on. I don't do a lot of talking on mine. I mostly listen to the weather. Hopefully, that's all I'll ever need to do. In my case, talking would most likely mean calling the Coast Guard or other nearby boats for help - "weather good, talking bad". Although, if I were in a group situation where some members seperated to go do something else or whatnot, it would be good to have that means of communication.
