The NYTimes subscription is one of my biggest pet-peeves, but there are a couple workarounds if your interested. There used to be a randomizer to make completely random accounts for you, but it doesn't seem to work anymore. Whenever I sign up for something, I always go to www.spamhole.com. They let you setup a temporary forwarding email account so you can validate any subscriptions, but after a couple hours it dies to keep the spam at bay. On alot of message boards that I post on, whenever you link to a NYtimes article you also provide a username & password for everyone to use. For example, on plastic.com everyone uses plasticuser:plastic. If anyone needs a name to use, I went and registered Username:paddlewise Password:paddlewise Andy P a_m_p_at_spils.com 2002-07-10 *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
