[Paddlewise] Fiberglass repairs

I happened to be watching a program on Stock Car Racing the other night and
they were discussing a new product that enabled them to repair the fiberglass
racecar bodies quickly, and much more securely, than the old Duct Tape method.

The product was approximately 1 Sq. Ft. of fiberglass cloth impregnated with
resin. It came sealed in a pouch so that the resin remained semi-liquid. After
opening the pouch the resin hardened to "rock hard" in 30 seconds.

The manufacturer was said to be "Rhino Patch". I'm not sure if it is the same
people that make the Rhino truck bed liners but I'm checking.

This would be just the thing for fiberglass boat owners to carry along in case
of damage to the hull. The only questions I would have would be the "shelf
life" of the product and of course, the cost.

Anyone else heard about this product?

Ron
