Kevin, I finally looked at the drawings etc. for your fix. First of all, it is a good one that is much better than the stirrups that Nautiraid uses (and that Feathercraft uses in its doubles). Second, the notched/slotted board(s) that are used to give you a fore and aft adjustment for leg length is virtually identical to something that Nautiraid used earlier! I had forgotten this until a few weeks ago I knocked down an older Nautiraid Raid 1 and there they were. Made of wood just like yours only not heavy. The way the notched/slotted boards were held in place is simplier than yours in that the whole notched/slotted board and stationary foot pedal move. The notches slip under the nearest crossrib, which in this single is the crossrib at the front of the cockpit. To adjust for leg length you lift the cross rib slightly and drop it into one of the slots. I can't remember if there is any other attachment involved for the board and for the pedals (there may have been some stabilizing bungee too) ralph diaz ----- Original Message ----- From: Kevin Dyer To: PaddleWise_at_paddlewise.net ; Bagboater_at_yahoogroups.com Sent: Saturday, August 24, 2002 2:28 AM Subject: [Bagboater] link to Nautiraid pedal modifications Hello everyone, I'm so bored with sending (and re-sending because I forgot something each time) multiple copies of plans and photos of the modifications that I made to the pedals on our Nautiraid GR520, that I've put them on the web at the link below. I'm glad that people are interested and am grateful for their comments, but I hate sitting there watching the modem chugging away! BTW, don't criticise my web page, it's the first time I tried!
