I am going to Orlando for a 5-6 day meeting in mid to late October and would like to do a couple of day trips if possible. I have never spent any significant time there and would greatly appreciate any suggestions as to where to rent a decent sea kayak and where to paddle for a day or two. If someone were to be interested in a mutual outing that would be great, and I am willing be spring for dinner for being shown around the waters a bit....if you have a boat, paddle, spray skirt and paddline jacket that would be great, but again i am fully willing to rent the required equipment, just thought company would be nice, and more fun. I am an intermediate paddler ... ie can brace well, and have a roll that is a little out of practice but reliable. I currently paddle a Pygmy Coho. Easily able to self rescue, and do assists. I am 6'1" and 220 lbs...and healthy. Will be happy to answer any questions for respondants, but perhaps more is better done off the list so as to not waste other readers time? I am a conservative paddle...in the sense that I don't get myself into problems that require others to help out...to me that is responcible paddling. :) (I don't mind helping others, however....) thanks so much....
