Greg Laughlin "The user's guide to the Australian coast" Gives up to date scientific references & articles on currents, tides, winds, water temperatures, environmental impacts. Not in local geographic detail but useful general principles. Specific to Australia but much is applicable worldwide. There must be equivalents for other parts of the world and its a good example. 11. Paul Caffyn "The dreamtime voyage" Describes a voyage around Australia its joys, hazards and the positives & negatives of kayaking with companions. Wonderful photographs.
