If you find otherwise, see if they can hook you up to the manufacturer and let me know the process so I can change the site. I had fiberglassed the deck of my Northbay so I do not think it would compromise the strength. For just wood and epoxy, I don't have a clue but would imagine that if they were glued in with a good mix of silica, it should be fine.
