I just got a request from someone who was contracted by the US Coast Guard Office of boating safety to write a report entitled "The Efficacy of Sponsons on Canoes and Kayaks." She managed to find the 1998 sponson discussion on the paddlewise site. http://www.paddlewise.com/topics/boatequip/sponson.html She is very interested in making use of some of the discussion in her report, but with the paddlewise copyright she needs permission from each contributor to use the material they posted.
