Although Body Glove makes a good wet suit and I have purchased several different items from Sierra Trading Post, IMHO a Farmer John style wet suit is preferable to any with sleeves (the type that body glove makes). You don't have the freedom of movement of your arms and torso in a full style wet suit as you do in a Farmer John. When I first started paddling, I used an ordinary wet suit and was always getting a rash from rubbing on my shoulders. I switched to a farmer john from NRS and solved the problem. In warmer weather, I wear a short sleeve nylon rash guard under it. As the weather cools, I go to a long sleeve poly rash guard, and then eventually to a long sleeve hydroskin shirt. For those of us a waist problem, the grizzly cut the NRS sells works great. I highly recommend their wet suits. This is a factory outlet type of web site/store (there are a few Sierra Trading Post stores in the West - Cheyenne, Wyoming and the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park if I remember correctly). *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
