In searching the uscg.mil site - I noticed the following: Potomac Management Group they are a Contractor with the Coast Guards Human Element and Ship Design Division, among other activities they are involved with safety issues and with publishing a newsletter for the USCG so I would expect that anything that get's qouted would become fair game for Tim. Rather than attcking Kaitlin I would suggest that someone in the washington DC area - maybe several someones offer to take her out paddling and deomonstrate situtations where sponsons could be useful, where they wouldn't and were they could be downright dangerous. Blasting her is likely to be counterproductive, since she is in a much stronger position with the coast guard than we are, so I'd really recoomend enlightenment as the preffered path.
