In the article, Lonnie Dupre says, "Todd's kayak was extremely safe but it 
was not intended for 8-10 foot seas," a statement I would take with a large 
helping of salt. Dupre's rough water preparation for his trip around 
Greenland was to devise a method of temporarily rigging the two kayaks as a 
single catamaran.
