My partner and I are headed down Baja after Thanksgiving. We've paddled a lot down there, but get tired of having to carry a two-week supply of water in our Feathercraft K-1's. On our Everglades paddle last winter, we ran across a tour group with a hand-operated desalinization pump. It's a slow go, but would allow us to stay out indefinitely without having to find water. Can't find any of these for sale on the internet, REI or MEC. Anybody have experiences with them, or know where I can buy one?
