I would take one of these steel scrubbing "brushes" or something similiar.
Here it is called "Ako Pads", so far theyīre still on the market ... donīt
know. Had been every time a success removing rust from steel with Ako Pads.
Donīt worry about hte little scratches. Itīs only a mechanical act of
cleaning, not chemical. A chemical way might be to use phosphoric acid, as
it is in Coca Cola (TM), using Coke might work, needs time but cheap.
If its only very little rust, try normal beach-sand first.
