Don't have too much faith in the designers of equipment. Not all of them
are experienced kayakkers, to put it politely. I own not a piece of
equipment that hasn't been modified to satisfy MY needs, instead of the
needs of fashion, cheap production or the muddied minds of designers.

You can make a new lashing point by sewing it on, glueing it, making
some holes in your PFD and using a piece of rope...
