Amie recently returned from the NYC marathon and had a brochure that contained almost the same information. It was from the marathon medical director and it would appear that the indiscriminant use of ibuprofen and similar pain relievers is contraindicated for endurance athletes. The significant difference between the brochure and this web site is the time prior to an activity - midnight before on the web site and 24 hours before in the brochure.
