<<<I would just love to paddle Chicagof if it weren't for all the really
scuzzy places I would have to create a campsite. Is this just my
imagination? Are there really good high/dry campsites along the route?
I'm a veteran of Prince William Sound, the Charlottes and Patagonian
Chile, and while the nature is magnificent, camping right in a swamp is
never magnificent.>>>

Yeah, but I've heard they have fascinationg wildlife up there that makes
up for some of the poor camping spots, like huge Stellars Sea Eagles. I
heard recently that a plane load of Alaskans saw one with a wing-span of
a small Piper Cub. Holy cow!!!! Mystery Alaska, or what.
