Has anyone tried or tested the fleece-lined, elbow length, 3 mm thick,
Hodgman gloves?

http://www.hodgman.com/pages/catalog/accessories/accessFS.html

Yesterday I took Paddlewise contributors' advice and went to Home Depot to
buy a pair of elbow-length, rubber (neoprene), black gloves. although these
seem to appear waterproof, they are NOT very thick, so a liner would be
necessary for the cold. Trouble is, even the extra large would be small for
my hand, and quite tight with a light liner.

My wife uses a pair of Hodgman gloves for hunting and they appear to be
sufficiently thick for warmth. But, no matter where I look, I can't seem to
locate these gloves. Yes, I can find many sites with Hodgman hunting
clothing (those sites listed as dealers on Hodgman's own site), but none
have the gloves displayed for sale.

Any insights are appreciated.

I'd like to add a question to Tom's request for info above. If you use
these gloves and go for a swim, does water get inside?

I haven't used those gloves in particular, but if they fit tightly enough
to be useful, (1) not much water can get in, (b) it'll warm up rapidly, as
in a wetsuit, and (III) your hands will be wet from perspiration anyway.
