 Could it be that your strobe is not in the best position, located on
 your back? I hope, in case I ever have to use the strobe, I am floating
 vertically, or horizontally with my face up. Therefore, the strobe is
 located on my left shoulder, facing forward, so that in both positions
 it will be above the water. In that position it is easy to reach, even
 with both hands.
