Homeless people sleep with more protection you ugly bear. To your credit you could successfully create a shelter out of a trash bag, copious saliva and half a carton of coffee cups......." I am not an ugly bear. I just like to try to make my kayak camping as rustic and light as I can. Leave all the comforts at home and rough it. That is why I kayak camp anyway, to get away from it all. My goal is to someday be able to grab a handful of parched corn and some pemmican for food, a wool blanket and a hatchet for my camping gear, my knife and bow for hunting meat and take off. Hope I have time left. Read Ray Jardine's book, "Beyond Backpacking" If you woke up breathing, congratulations.
