In my errands on the Gulf of Mexico I visited the Chachalacas town (N19 24.960 W96 19.405) state of Veracruz Mexico, to review the project of our future kayaking facilities. To my surprise the town was closed. Everybody went out to the National Festivity of Dec 12 in which the appearance of Mary mother of Jesus in the 16th Century is celebrated every year for almost 400 years already.
