I like the small Voyageur bag as it is nice and flexible for easy
manipulation of the Magellan Meridians buttons. Also the front is very
clear plastic. I don't recall the model name. I just recall it was
actually intended for a Walkman type of personal stereo but fit my GPS
perfectly. A friend loaned it to me once for a trip to the Apostle
Islands.

Before that and what I still use for day to day use is a Seal Line
electronics case. The model I have is semi flexible and slightly
frosted plastic with a few attachment points. Personally I don't like
this as it is harder to read the screen though the plastic and
manipulate the buttons. Unfortunately that was the best I could find at
the time. Perhaps it is more secure inters of water protection and just
a trade off.

Oh, I also use another of the Seal Line electronics bags for my marine
radio.

As for other Seal Line products. I have been using their large dry bags
for canoeing for about 15 years or so with out a problem. They are very
well made. Also, I have a Seal Line map case that has also seen 10-15
years of use and other than having some ink transfer from the map to it,
it is in great condition.

I don't know why they don't use the same super clear and flexible
plastic in the map case for the electronic cases. Perhaps they feel it
is not as protective.

How many have had, or heard of an eTrex leaker? I have used one a bit w/o a
case and had no problemo. The salesman told me to go for it as Garmin was
good to go for replacement if it leaks.

One friend had TWO leak! I've had one Garmin GPS12 leak, in rain. All
replaced under warranty. All now carried in drybags.

As I said in my previous post mine leaked. It failed and I took it apart
and could see that lots of water had gotten in and corroded the
electronics.

WARNING Garmin will ONLY replace the unit if it is under warranty which
means less than 1 year old. If its older than 1 year and leaks you have
to pay them to fix it.

I have had similar problemes with "submersible" VHF radios.

Usually they can survive an occasional drop or splash, but not rolling
or real submersion.
