Hi Paddlewisers -- we've had a kayak trailer in for photography and testing at Canoe & Kayak Magazine for the past couple of months, and now the manufacturer has offered to sell it to anyone interested at a discount, rather than have it shipped back to Tennessee. When I say testing, I mean in the parking lot - this trailer has not been dragged through the mud and muck at all, and is pretty much like new. Details - it's a Jimco Tandem Portage Trailer -- see online at www.portagetrailer.com -- sells new for $995 plus shipping. Pick it up at our office in Kirkland, Washington, and it's yours for $800. The trailer can carry up to 5 sea kayaks or 3 canoes, or various combinations of canoes, kayaks, and bikes. It's not currently licensed for road travel, but it can be - get a temp license to pick it up, then license thru the normal process. It's a great trailer, light enough to move around by hand, sturdy enough for big road trips. If you're interested, please email me directly at robin_at_canoekayak.com.
