Any second not used to type email adresses might be used for paddling,
boat maintenance or dreaming, so I think this is a very useful
discussion.

Anyway: I might be a computer-expert, but templates and stylesheets are
way beyond me. For all those that, like me, live in another abstract
world from the one Bill Gates tries to create for us, try the following:

- In your addressbook, create a new address. The address of course is
"paddlewise_at_paddlewise.net", but you make the name much shorter,
something like "PW", or anything else with one or two characters that
you can locate quickly and easily on your keyboard. Any serious browser
should be able to substitute a name with an address, so from now on, you
can just type the short name. You can now use the "reply" button, select
the contents of the addressfield by doubleclicking, and substituting the
correct name.

"PW" is my choice, you might have other preferences. The characters "TY"
for instance, while absolutely meaningless, are located close together,
in the middle, so you can use both hands in typing the name. "BN" might
be more convenient for people that are too lazy to reach out to the top
of the keyboard. "PW" not only reflects the name "PaddleWise", it also
forces you to spread your arms wide over the keyboard. That might be a
good exercise for holding your paddle correctly: Wide and with stretched
arms.

Niels.

Niels,

After 15 years in the industry, this note (heavily
snipped for reference) is hands-down the best computer
technique advice I have ever received (or given) :-).

Thanks & happy new year
Jennifer
