For the record, after finding that the sliding switch on my three year old Firefly 2 had become defective, I contacted ACR, described the problem, and really before I could ask for ideas on fixing it --- was two years out of warranty --- I was asked to mail it in. There had been other problems with the sliding (flute?) switch. Less than a week later, a new Firefly 2 arrived via UPS. That's customer service done the right way!! Their products aren't cheap, but, with survival gear, how much quality are you willing to give up for a few dollars?
