Have someone else do it, and figure $3-400. Run a jigsaw all the way around the deck recess, drop the coaming to the height you want it, cut the recess opening larger so the new recess will be fair, and put on the Tyvek suit and start glassing! I chopped the ocean cockpit out of a VCP Selkie for a friend, and am replacing it with a keyhole similar to the one in her Necky Looksha IV.
