There is an excellent discussion and demonstration of these in the video
that Wayne Horodowich made about capsize recoveries and re-entries. It
certainly made me re-think what I carry.

Normal disclosures about commercial products apply, although I do consider
Wayne a friend.

I hope this doesn't cross the 'no commercials' line but what is the name of
this video? Where can it be purchased?

Thanks,
Keith

You're asking a completely valid question, to which a group response is
appropriate for hard to find items, for commonly available items ONE(and
only one) of the outfitters/stores on the list could respond - "It's
available in most paddling shops, should you have trouble finding one
feel free to contact me or one of the other stores on the list.".

If the person responsible for the item's existance is on the list they
would be the prefered responder.

A list of commercial and/or personal websites of paddlewise members is
available at the paddlewise site under member links
http://www.paddlewise.net/links/members/

Visit your local shops first, then paddlewise members...

To me a commercial post is any where you or someone you know well stands
to make money. For items available from a unique person/place I feel it's
necessary for that person to respond to the list and the response would
not be considered commercial.

There have been instances in the past of friends of a
store/outfitter/whatever asking leading questions which would garner a
public response specific to their friends business. Don't do that....

As Steve Holzman just demonstrated, if you do have an affilition with
those making money from the subject please admit it in your post.

I'm sure I missed some details and nuances, but hopefully you get the
idea.

(1) I'm not an outfitter.
(2) I don't sell videos.
(3) I'm not affilitated with Wayne in any way, although I have taken
classes from him.
(4) The video is "Capsize Recovery and Rescue Procedures, Vol 1 & 2" It
is good, although a little talky in spots, and VERY comprehensive.
AFAIK, no one has sat through it from beginning to end. If you do, you
can earn a spot on Wayne's list of paddlers who are too anal compulsive
to spend time with :)
(4) More info here http://www.useakayak.com/.
