[Paddlewise] K1 or Kahuna??

Hi folks,


need your suggestions! I'm going to buy a Feathercraft:  Kahuna or K1 is the


choice. But it's soooo hard to find out which is best for me. I'm 56, ~ 220


lbs (yes, I know: too big ;-)),  8'2'', fairly experienced ( kayaking since 35

ys, recently owning a WW inflatable canoe (Grabner Outside) and an Aerius II
).


Will use the new boat mostly on our lakes and slow rivers but will also travel

frequently to Scandinavia, Canada, Alaska as I did during the last two


decades. The duration of most trips will be between 2 and 10 days.


Because of weight and price F's Big Kahuna (+rudder +hatches) looks best to me

but I fear this boat might be too small for my size. Unfortunately testing


even one of these boats is not yet possible as there is only one F-dealer here

in Vienna, Austria and he doesn't have a used boat available.
