If you go a little bit north of there to Dunedin to the Dunedin causway which takes you out to Honey Moon Island and Caladasi Island. Park on the west end of the causway where the beach is reserved for non-powered boats. Caladasi is just to the south of Honey Moon Island and is seperated by Huricane Pass. Caladasi and Honey Moon use to be one one island. Caladasi Island is always rated as one of the top 10 beaches in the country on the gulf side of the island. The east side of Caladasi Island is covered with mangroves.
